Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how JewelryAI ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the JewelryAI mobile application and related websites (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy. We do not sell your personal information.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use JewelryAI, we may collect:
- Account information: Name, email address, and authentication identifiers provided when you sign up (managed by Clerk). If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identity details those providers share with us.
- User content: Photos you upload or capture for AI processing, generated images, folders, and related gallery metadata.
- Purchase and subscription data: Product identifiers, purchase status, entitlements, and restoration events from Apple In-App Purchases via RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Usage and analytics data: App events (for example onboarding steps, feature usage, paywall views, generation and share actions), device type, operating system, app version, language/locale, session information, IP address, and device identifiers (such as IDFV). When you are signed in, analytics may be linked to your account ID and may include email or name if we associate them for product analytics.
- Advertising and attribution data: When you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, advertising identifiers (such as IDFA) and related campaign/attribution signals may be collected to measure ads and conversions. If you deny ATT, we do not enable advertiser tracking for that purpose.
- Diagnostics: Crash and error information that helps us fix bugs and keep the Service reliable.
- Support communications: Information you send when you contact support.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide AI image transformation, gallery, and account features.
- Authenticate users and manage credits, subscriptions, and restores.
- Improve product quality, reliability, and user experience through analytics.
- Measure and optimize advertising campaigns and attribution.
- Provide customer support and prevent abuse or fraud.
- Comply with legal obligations and App Store requirements.
4. Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics and related measurement. PostHog may receive event data, device and session information, IP address, and—when you are signed in—identifiers that can link usage to your account (and, where configured, contact details such as email). We use this to understand feature adoption, funnels, retention, and product performance.
Analytics data is used for operating and improving JewelryAI. It is not sold. We may expand the events and properties we send to PostHog over time as we add product instrumentation; those uses remain covered by this section.
5. Advertising, Attribution & Tracking
We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK and related advertising/attribution tools (including Apple AdServices / SKAdNetwork where applicable, and RevenueCat device identifiers for purchase attribution) to measure installs, app events, and campaign effectiveness.
On iOS, if we access data that Apple defines as "tracking" (for example using the advertising identifier to measure ads across apps/websites), we request your permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Even if you deny tracking permission, we may still process limited, non-tracking measurement allowed by Apple and Meta (for example aggregated or ATT-denied modes), and we still use first-party analytics as described above.
6. Third-Party Services
We share information with processors that help us run the Service, including:
- Clerk — authentication and account identity.
- Cloudinary — image storage and delivery.
- AI processing providers — secure processing of images you submit for generation.
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase entitlement status.
- PostHog — product analytics as described above.
- Meta Platforms — advertising measurement and attribution.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, In-App Purchases, and platform services.
- Hosting / infrastructure providers (for example Vercel and cloud databases) — to operate our websites and APIs.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies, and only as needed to provide services to us. Images you upload are transmitted to third-party systems for AI processing and storage as needed to deliver the feature.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account and content while your account is active. You may delete your account in the app settings. When you delete your account, we remove your account identity and associated app content from our systems (including via automated deletion workflows). Limited technical logs or analytics records may remain for a period for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance; where feasible we de-identify them so they are no longer reasonably linked to you.
Purchase records retained by Apple or RevenueCat may persist according to their retention rules and are not fully controlled by us.
8. Your Rights & Choices
- Access / correction: Update profile details in the app or contact us.
- Deletion: Delete your account in the app, or contact support for help.
- Tracking: Manage ATT permission in iOS Settings.
- GDPR / CCPA: If you are in the EEA/UK or California, you may have additional rights (access, deletion, portability, restriction, and—where applicable—opt-out of certain sharing). Contact us to exercise them.
9. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards such as HTTPS in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Children's Privacy
JewelryAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
11. International Transfers
We and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
